EVENT & SECURITY COORDINATOR
at BVTI in Hanover, MD
The Event and Security Coordinator is responsible for managing events and coordinating visits for our secure conference facility in Hanover, Maryland in support of programs of national importance. The successful candidate will manage a highly professional and secure workspace environment which includes scheduling and planning events and meetings, processing registrations and Visit Requests (VRs), performing site setups, coordinating the installation of equipment and services, responding to special circumstances, resolving problems, and providing general oversight for assigned events.
Functional duties include the following:
- Act as primary on-site host for assigned events
- Provide tours and brief large and small groups as necessary
- Manage master facility calendar
- Coordinate scheduling of IT assets and users
- Create and maintain library of Standard Operating Procedures
- Complete event setups, as needed, in a timely manner according to requirements & schedule
- Respond to clients needs and resolve problems or refer to appropriate person/department
- Evaluate operations and procedures in order to improve services
- Conduct regular planning/organizational meetings to review event schedules and requirements
- Process security credentials and manage access of facility visitors
- Maintain security access logs, security badges, and inventories of materials
- Perform and maintain control over facility, inventory, and key inspections/reports
- Coordinate material delivery and maintain corresponding verification documentation
- Serve as a backup for facility security officer, CSSO, ISSO, and/or site supervisor as needed
Job Qualifications: US Citizens Only. Only candidates holding a current TS/SCI security clearance with Full Scope/Lifestyle Poly will be considered.
