Who We Want
Are you a highly-motivated and versatile Network Engineer who also has solid experience with the Cisco product line, HP, Dell switches, and F5 Big IP? Do you have a proven track record of providing companies with effective networking solutions? Do you possess Linux and Windows administration skills? Can you work independently, and in a team environment? If so, you could be a good fit. An ideal candidate will be excited to be in a smaller company that moves quickly on a constant flow of new ideas, be able to wear multiple hats as needed, and have the drive to exceed expectations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• You will apply network and security management best practices to improve the performance, reliability, and scalability of our network
• Building out networks, performing daily network administrative tasks, configuring and installing network and security systems, provisioning of new equipment, working with vendor tech support, building and deploying network switches and routers, firewalls, VPNs, F5 Big IP load balancers, SSL accelerators, Telco lines, etc.
• Network administration including user account management, DNS, DHCP, e-mail systems, IIS web server management
• Deploying, configuring, operating and interpreting output from network protocol analyzers
• Maintaining both copper and fiber infrastructure
• Troubleshooting network problems to maintain maximum network availability and performance
Qualifications & Skills
• Experience managing mid-size to large, multi-site networks
• At least 5-7 years as a Network Engineer using Cisco IOS, Cisco PIX, and Cisco ASA as well as experience with Cisco IOS/protocols/CLI
• Microsoft Certified Professional or Microsoft Certified System Administrator
• Must have ability to install, configure, and troubleshoot Cisco firewalls, VPN’s, and Wireless from start to finish
• Ability to maintain, replace, and diagnose hardware and software issues
• Strong customer, written and oral communication, time-management, prioritizing, multi-tasking, and organizational skills in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Courteous, tactful, and professional presentation; reliable, flexible, and dependable
• Ability to work under pressure and independently AND within a team environment
• Possesses a talent for analyzing and identifying potential problems and finding solutions
• Excellent documentation skills and process driven orientation
• Other tasks as needed
