DataOceans is Microsoft Gold Partner with proprietary software built on the Microsoft .Net Platform. We are currently in need of a an Application Test Engineer in our Norcross, GA office. As an Application Test Engineer, you will be responsible for working with the VP of Application Development to design and run test cases for the company’s software applications. This job will include interfacing with the various client project managers to understand the unique business requirements of each client and the business intent of each unique client configuration feature set, in order to design the appropriate test cases and scripts. The position will require strong technical and analytical skills along with the unique ability to think at a high-level while paying attention to granular details. Prior software development experience and a fluent software development vocabulary is preferred.

Responsibilities:
• Designing, developing and executing comprehensive QA test plans and test cases for software applications.
• Implementing process tools and infrastructure required for testing.
• Conducting functional, regression and performance testing.
• Working effectively in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment.
• Cooperating closely with the development teams and Operations teams.
• Communicating effectively with all stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Software Test Experience (2 – 3 years)
• Familiarity with the Full Software Development Life Cycle
• Familiarity with hand editing XML for configuring test parameters * (Must have this skill)
• 3+ years hands-on experience as QA engineer
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Previous experience with testing complex web-based software systems is highly desirable
• Prior Software Development experience is a plus
• Experience with designing and implementing test tools is a plus
• Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server is a plus

Education and Training
• Graduate of a four year college with a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Technology Degree with 3.5 GPA or higher
