Full-time Accountant-Bookkeeper

Downtown Seattle business seeking an experienced Accountant-Bookkeeper for a privately owned company that provides excellent benefits, opportunities and work-life balance.

The ideal candidate will work well independently as well as in a team setting with a positive service oriented attitude and ability to work well under pressure.

Major areas of responsibility include:
• Processing accurate and timely payroll in a multi-company/state environment
• Tax reporting
• Client billing and collections
• Accounts payable
• Other general accounting functions

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree and minimum three years accounting experience, or AA degree and five years accounting experience
• Working knowledge of federal and state payroll tax rules/regulations
• Payroll check calculations
• Benefits reporting
• Garnishments
• Must possess strong analytical skills and high attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task
• Interpersonal skills require the ability to regularly deal with a variety of staff members and personalities
• Other payroll related functions

Ideal candidate must also have knowledge of MS Office applications with emphasis on Excel skills and working with a fully integrated accounting system. Salary is DOE.
