Full-time Senior Finance Controller

The ideal candidate is a hands-on finance professional seeking a growth opportunity with 10+ years of experience, with multi-unit, multi-state experience, Retail Industry a plus. Principle Responsibilities
 Reports directly to the CEO and President
 Full knowledge of Point of Sale Systems, accounting cost centers; preparation of all financial reporting requirements, closings- month and year end, balance sheet, income statements, and cash flows
 Lead the long/short range forecasting/projections process
 Budget Preparation; variance/comparison analysis, management reports
 Manage cash and banking relationships
 Coordinate with Auditors in preparation of annual report
 Develop processes/reports to identify and manage key business metrics/leading indicators for each operating function in order to manage and make proper decisions
 Analyze operating results in terms of costs, budgets, operating policies, trends and increased profit opportunities
 Technology Integration, Efficiency Improvements, Key Performance Indicators
 Financial and Operational Analysis
 Ensure internal controls are in place and functioning as intended
 Prepare adhoc reports and analysis as required by Management
 Supervise Accounting Dept. Staff
 Lead transition to upgrade/conversions of Accounting software
Knowledge and Experience

• Bachelors Degree in Finance, MBA, CPA a plus
• Minimum 10 years experience in a management capacity
• Demonstrated experience in a multiple business unit retail environment / divisional
• Knowledge and practical experience of accounting principles, practices and standards US and international
• Extensive experience with inventory, Retail POS and cost accounting systems, Quickbooks a must
• Excellent financial, analytical, planning, and reporting skills
• Highly proficient computer skills - advanced Excel
• Ability to communicate and exercise judgment and discretion in supporting and maintaining effective working relationships with management and employees.
