Full-time Data Entry Clerk/Office Assistant

at CPA in Houston, TX

Busy Katy CPA Firm data entry clerk / office assistant. Experience in pubilc accounting is a plus but not required. Our office hours are 9:00 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Entry level position, High School graduate required.
- Ability to read and write business English.
- Ability to determine and respond to conflicting priorities.
- Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) and internet search skills.
- Demonstrate administrative support skills including appointment scheduling, and ability to compose/proof and edit correspondence.
- Demonstrate clerical skills including filing, sorting, basic math calculations, records maintenance and retention.
- Demonstrate organizational, communication (written, oral, telephone), and customer service skills required.
- Able to maintain confidentiality and integrity of data being reviewed by internal and external clients.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Answer, screen, and direct incoming telephone calls.
- Schedule appointments and greet clients.
- Attend and distribute fax, mail and copies.
- Respond to general inquiries and provide information as needed.
- Compose and prepare routine correspondence, faxes, emails for executives.
- Organize and maintain filing system, and file correspondence and other records.
- Maintain inventory and order office supplies.
- Keep common areas (kitchen, reception, conference room) clean.
