Entry level Assistant
at Music Label in New York City, NY
Music Label seeks an "Entry-Level" Assistant.
The Assistant will be responsible for providing full administrative support to the General Manager of a major record label. The Assistant will help to ensure the efficient day-to-day operation of the General Manager’s office by successfully accomplishing the following responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
•Act as a liaison between the General Manager’s office and a wide array of internal and external contacts including senior management, outside industry contacts, artists, artist managers, other internal departments, etc
•Provide administrative support including answering phones, processing expense reports, booking travel, and coordinating meetings.
•Ability to interact professionally with senior level executives and artists and their managers.
•Coordinate and draft correspondence and presentations using MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
•Process invoices in a timely and efficient manner.
•Maintaining office contact lists.
•Order and maintain supplies and product for office.
•Provide backup support to the Presidents office as needed.
•Train the department’s interns and delegate daily tasks.
•Special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
•Administrative experience.
•Thorough knowledge and understanding of the Microsoft Office Suite (including PowerPoint).
•Excellent organizational skills required.
•Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
•Calm, positive and professional demeanor.
•Some music industry experience preferred.
•Additional skills, abilities, and/or traits that are necessary to succeed in this position include: confidentiality; integrity; initiative; a meticulous attention to detail; multi-tasking; ability to handle and work with all types of personalities; self-confidence; ability to excel in stressful and demanding situations; resourcefulness; ability to anticipate what's next; strong work ethic and a sense of humor.
