Project Coordinator

Title: Project Coordinator (Scholarships & Rewards)
Department: Finance & Administration
Reports to: Senior Accountant
Classification: Non Exempt
Other: Grade 3, Regular, Fulltime position, Eligible for benefits
Position Summary:
The Project Coordinator will be the person responsible for implementing much of the First Things first (FTF) Scholarships and Rewards programs, under the oversight of the Senior Accountant. In addition, this person is part of the Finance department and will assist in projects and tasks as defined and necessary.
Summary of Responsibilities:
•Assist in developing application process.
•Assist in developing reporting and monitoring process.
•Fiscal monitoring of subcontracts and providers.
•Analyze data for programs.
•Distribute incentives.
•Enter data and maintain database.
•Create monthly payout reports.
•Create monthly and ad hoc reports to Funder.
•Audit reports.
•Provide customer service to providers, both internal and external.
•Defines Finance projects and tasks.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:
•Bachelor’s Degree desired in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field and a minimum of three plus years experience in a fast paced business environment.
oThe right combination of education and/or relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of degree requirements.
•Strong initiative and ability to work with poorly defines and always changing guidelines.
•Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.
•Understanding of Accounting principles.
•Independent thinker.
•Ability to prioritize and manage time and tasks in order to work in a fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlines.
•Must be a self starter and a team player.
•Strong customer service skills.
Technical Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Requirements:
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point).
oExcel proficiency should be intermediate to advanced level.
•Ability to research and locate information from the internet.
•Ability to learn and use new software and systems as required.
Other Requirements:
•Ability to work hours outside the standard 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM timeframe and to travel, if necessary.
•Valid Arizona driver’s license, proof of automobile insurance, and daily access to personal vehicle.
