We are looking for a Dispatcher to fill an important role at aCoupleofGurus.com. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys, and is good at, paying attention to details, managing multiple variables to ensure client expectations are met, has ability adapt to changing priorities, has excellent verbal communication skills with clients and co-workers, demonstrated organizational skills, and the ability to use technology to efficiently do one’s job. The Dispatcher works at the aCoupleofGurus.com office and communicates via telephone and email with clients and Network Engineers to facilitate implementation and resolution of work orders. Key responsibilities include:

Dispatch Tasks – 75% of time
• Schedule and dispatch Network Engineers to appropriate locations according to customer requests, specifications, or needs, using radios or telephones.
• Confer with clients to address questions, problems, and requests for service or equipment.
• Prepare work tickets. Revise as appropriate.
• Record and maintain files and records of client requests in Connectwise.
• Ensure Network Engineers have materials (hardware and software) required to fulfill work orders or specifications.
• Monitor Network Engineers and utilization to coordinate service and schedules.
• Advise Network Engineers as to status of ticket items and prioritization of client requests.
• Attend and participate in regularly scheduled team meetings.
• Meet with Network Engineers and Business Development Managers regarding account status and ongoing issues.
• Identify and recommend client improvement opportunities that are consistent with The Guru Way.

Shipping / Receiving Tasks – 25% of time
• Examine contents and compare with records, such as invoices or orders, to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipment.
• Record shipment data, including damages and discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, and recordkeeping purposes.
• Determine shipping method for equipment and/or software, and prepare for shipment to client site.
• Contact vendors to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, and nonconformance to specifications.

Requires 1 – 3 years of work experience in an administrative support role with excellent attention to detail, ability to handle multiple priorities, strong verbal communication skills, and demonstrated ability to solve problems and use computerized recordkeeping systems (order entry, resource management system, etc.). Previous experience with technology or ability to learn technology may be helpful.
