Full-time Executive Assistant

at Media Company in Washington, DC

We are seeking an experienced executive Assistant for an immediate long term position with a Media Giant.
This position will report to a senior leader of the new business. The person should have an upbeat, energetic, engaging demeanor and reflect a “can do” or “let’s make it work” attitude. The ideal candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to:
• Being a masterful multitasker, quintessential team player and must reflect the ability to accept and delegate responsilibities outside the general scope of duties
• Understanding leader(s)’s priorities in order to effectively manage schedule(s)
• Act as a “gatekeeper” of time, calendar and priorities
• Ability to use high level of discretion with confidential information
• Proactive in conflict resolution
• Act as liason for leader(s)
• Thinking outside the box to collaborate and find new solutions
• Managing correspondence (email, interoffice, etc.)
• Preparing research/ bios/ etc. for meetings
• Managing expenses for leader(s)
• Managing travel for leader(s)
• Managing filing system
• Updating documents
• Maintaining and updating contact information on behalf of leader(s)
• Managing overall administration of “back office” for leader(s), including assisting with supervison of administrative team
• May act as a proxy for leader(s) in meetings, training


QUALIFICATIONS

Experience • Four year undergraduate degree
• 4+ years of professional work experience assisting senior level executives(s) (Partner, VP or higher)
• Previous experience in Information Services, Media or Government a plus
