Executive Chef - Kitchen Manager
at Restaurant in Shenandoah Valley, VA
We are searching for a talented Executive Chef/Kitchen Manager for an upscale Tavern concept in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. Our menu reflects unpretensious pub food with a gastropub edge, utilizing fresh and locally sourced seasonal ingredients. A genuine caring staff and casual dining ambiance offer a unique dining experience unlike any other in the region. Located in a historic downtown restaurant district, with over 25 restaurants in a six block radius, we have been independently owned by a small group of local investors for over a decade.
The candidate that we are looking for will need 10+ years of culinary experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial capacity. The ability to lead, implement and enforce back of house systems, manage kitchen staff, effectively control BOH labor and food costs will be essential to this position. You will be dealing directly with the owners in the development, sourcing, rollout and implementation of the menu, as well as developing rapport with local farmers, butchers, and vendors.
