Full-time Hotel Front Desk Supervisor

Come join the Wild Palms Front Office! We are looking for a dependable, organized and experienced Front Desk Supervisor with a great attitude! This person will partner with the Front Desk Manager to ensure that we are providing the best service to our guests and carrying all Front Office duties in an effecient manner.

Job Overview: While on duty, the Front Desk Supervisor will supervise the operations of the front office,guest services, and room service. The Front Desk Supervisor will provide the support, training, and tools the front office staff require to fulfill the JdV mission for the guest. All responsibilities shall be carried out in a timely, accurate, and professional manner, in accordance with Joie de Vivre Hospitality’s core values.

Supervises: Front Desk Hosts and Night Auditors

Qualifications/Skills:
Requirements are representative of minimum levels of knowledge, skills and /or abilities. To perform this job successfully, the employee will possess the abilities or aptitudes to perform each duty proficiently, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Essential:
Previous Front Office supervisory experience.

High school graduate, some college.

Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English (speak, read, write) with guests, management, co-workers and vendors.

Ability to accurately compute and manipulate mathematical calculations.

Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness and work with a minimum of supervision.

Previous experience in cash handling.

Computer knowledge in Windows environment as well as proficiency in property management system.

Experience with cost controls and yield management.

Ability to work a variety of varying schedules.


Punctuality and regular and reliable attendance.


Interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with co-workers and the public.


Desirable:
1. College degree.


2. Ability to communicate in a second language.



Essential Physical Abilities:


· Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas.


· Ability to grasp, bend, and stoop; push or pull heavy loads weighing up to 75 lbs.; and lift and/or carry or otherwise move packages, boxes, and luggage.





Essential Job Functions:


· Supervises daily front office functions to sustain courteous and professional guest service levels.


· Resolve guest complaints in a satisfactory manner.


· Maximize daily room sales.


· Coordinate daily group arrival/departure preparation, special requests, room assignments and guest amenity programs, including the Dreammaker program and Experience Rewards service standards.


· Support and comply with company’s reservation program – ResPlus.


· Support and comply with the principles of the VIP Upgrade program


· Ensure completion of minimum number of monthly Split Second Surveys.


· Schedule front office staff appropriate to forecasted business levels.


· Follow up with front office staff on daily shift and individual duties.


· Perform verbal instruction and guidance compliant with the company’s policy.


· Complete daily property walks and complete manager on duty reports.


· Support and comply with hotel policy and company policy in matters concerning accounting, purchasing, credit and cash handling.


· Responsible for maintaining front office/lobby appearance while on duty.


· Maintain proper collateral and supply inventory to support all appropriate front office activities.


· Coordinate relocation of guests when necessary.


· Various duties and projects as directed by hotel management.


· Support and comply with all company brand standards, including Experience Rewards.


· Ensure Front Office complies with company’s fire and emergency procedures.
