Full-time Audio Conference Program Manager

at Company in Atlanta, GA

You will be joining a team in developing audio conferences and webinars for professionals in regulated industry. The most urgent need is for programs of interest to hospital and healthcare workers, but you will likely be called upon to develop programs for other regulated markets. You should have an interest in current events, and know or learn the topics of interest to those subject to regulations (which are different than the topics of interest to consumers). You must understand what topics will sell—this requires the critical skills of an editor, and the creative skills of a marketer. You will work closely with conference, marketing and editorial departments, but much of your work will require contacting and working with attorneys, consultants, and other regulatory experts. Many of these experts will not be provided for you, so you must be able to find them, cold contact them, and work with them to develop a winning program. You should be able to determine if they will be competent and qualified to speak on a given subject. You will be making decisions between quality of program and need to move forward.

Requirements:
• College Degree or commensurate experience in developing experts for speaking events. Demonstrable track record of strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of healthcare regulation, or ability to learn quickly, is a must.
• Knowledge of Federal or State regulations for other markets a plus.

Daily Activities:
Developing the audio conference and webinar content and speakers.
• This requires an understanding of the various regulatory markets in which we work, and awareness of regulatory, legal, and legislative changes in given market.
• Research market potential for audio conference/webinar; determine if an idea is worth pursuing.
• Requires being analytical and flexible enough to find niche for potential idea if there doesn’t seem to be a substantial market.
• Work with speakers, editors, and marketing to determine what are the most important points that will sell the audio conference/webinar, and ensure that those will be delivered by speakers.
• Work with marketing and editorial to develop marketing copy, and be ready to develop alternate copy in the event programs sales don’t project to meet targets.
• Expand our pool of speakers by staying abreast of the latest developments in regulated markets, and reaching out to numerous experts on a weekly basis.
• “Vet” speakers to verify knowledge of topic and ability to present a high-quality program.
• Handling speakers, and coaching them through the process, from topic selection to marketing development to conference presentation.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills required, as you will be multiple projects and deadlines concurrently. You should be proactive, tenacious, and flexible.
