Full-time Personal/Executive Assistant - Small Financial Firm

at Hedge Fund in New York City, NY

This posting is for a temporary position. The position is temporary but can become permanent depending on performance.

Small hedge fund looking for experienced Executive Assistant to support the managing partner and help run the firm’s midtown office.


Responsibilities include:

· Manage day to day affairs of the managing partner – implementing filing system, scheduling meetings, answering calls, checking email, filing and organizing, etc.

· Perform personal assistant tasks

· Take on special projects to support managing partner. Projects potentially include updating spreadsheet models, drafting investor letters, organizing broker research

· Work with landlord to address office issues, manage outside vendor relationships, order supplies and handle minor technical issues



Qualifications:

· Must have college degree

· Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook)

· Must have at least 3 years experience as an Executive Assistant

· Experience at a financial institution a plus

· Experience with Bloomberg a plus


The successful candidate will be bright, conscientious and well-organized. We require someone who is good with numbers, who can identify and solve problems without being told to and will handle any task, no matter how small.

The ideal candidate will be extremely proactive at identifying needs and places to add value. The managing partner is currently overextended but has not worked with an assistant. He requires someone to help him learn how to leverage the skills of a talented and insightful assistant.
